From a training centre to internal logistics. We design and supply equipment for automotive seat production for Nobo Automotive Systems Czech Republic s.r.o. (hereafter NOBO Automotive). Over approximately two years of cooperation, we delivered an estimated 1,000 structures. Our work includes workbenches, logistics trolleys, racking and equipment for support areas. The ability to modify trolleys already delivered to meet new customer requirements has repeatedly proved its value.

A new plant with growing requirements
The new NOBO Automotive plant in Boršov nad Vltavou was developed with the aim of starting seat production for the new generation of the BMW 3 Series, designated G50, in October 2026. During preparations, the team grew to 350 employees and a production hall covering more than 28,000 m² was built. Development of the site brought requirements for workstation equipment, storage and material handling.
In July 2024, we approached NOBO Automotive with an offer to help equip its new plant. At the time, the company had a small team and was preparing for pre-series production. Production, internal logistics and other departments gradually began contacting us. Individual assignments developed into cooperation across the plant.
Training centre: from design to a finished workbench
One of the first projects involved equipping the training centre. The brief included workbenches for testing employees’ fine motor skills before they joined production.

A workbench built to a specific briefWe designed and manufactured workbenches from aluminium profiles. Their design was based on NOBO Automotive’s requirements for employee testing. The technical drawing and photographs show both the proposed structure and the finished workbench. |

Logistics trolleys designed for further modification
The internal logistics team followed with a request for the design and costing of trolleys for armrests, headrests and other seat components. The original proposal envisaged welded structures.
After a joint assessment, we and the customer selected a modular pipe system. The deciding factor was the ability to modify the structure later, which better matched the needs of the developing operation.
Many of the trolleys are also designed for transport by AGVs, or automated guided vehicles. Their structures therefore also accommodate this method of internal transport.

Equipment for production, storage and support areas
As further projects followed, cooperation expanded to assembly workstations, storage and support areas. Alongside custom structures, we also supplied metal and workshop furniture. Depending on the brief and intended use, we worked with aluminium profiles, modular pipe systems and welded structures.
FIFO racking supports the retrieval of materials in the order they were loaded: first in, first out. Gravity conveyors use the slope of the track and gravity to move materials.

Approximately two years of cooperation and an estimated 1,000 structures
Over approximately two years, we completed projects for NOBO Automotive involving an estimated 1,000 structures, encompassing modular systems and welded solutions. Our cooperation included implementing specific customer briefs as well as our own designs. For the trolleys delivered, it continued with subsequent modifications based on operational experience.
Our cooperation with NOBO Automotive shows why it makes sense to consider future changes when equipping a new plant. The ability to adapt logistics trolley structures repeatedly proved its value and helped respond to evolving production requirements.
