Metal joints for pipe modular systems – black, silver and ESD nickel
Steel tube connectors for the pipe modular system
Metal joints are steel connectors that join structural pipes into workbenches, racks, trolleys and roller tracks in the Enprag pipe modular system. Each joint is tightened with a screw; where the position has to be locked, the joint can be drilled through at the pilot dimple and riveted. Standard joints weigh 0.05–0.11 kg, the MT-5402 hinge joint 156 g, and they come in black, silver and nickel finishes.
Which finish for steel joints: black, silver or ESD nickel?
Steel joints are made in three finishes: BK is a chrome-free black powder coating, SV a silver white zinc-plated finish containing chrome that is also suitable for ESD use, and NI a chrome-free nickel plating, likewise suitable for ESD. Most MJ joints are available in all three versions, for example the Metal conjunction MJ-21162 (H-162); some types (MJ-2120, MJ-2121, MJ-2201) come only in black and silver, and MJ-2160BK only in black.
Pipe joints: individually, in sets or as a hinge
We supply pipe joints individually or as complete kits – see metal joint sets – and you will find screws and nuts under fasteners. For movable and angled connections, use the Metal conjunction - hinge MT-5402, which joins 2 pipes at any angle. The WB-N9 quick-release clamp fixes onto a pipe without tools and is available on request.
Assembly and delivery of metal joints
Your maintenance team can assemble the joints with basic hand tools – an Allen key, a hammer and a screwdriver; assembly training is free of charge in our showroom or at your site. Joints in stock are delivered within a few days of ordering, pipes in 4 m lengths. A damaged joint can be replaced on its own without dismantling the whole assembly.

Frequently asked questions
What is the difference between the BK, SV and NI finishes of metal joints?
Enprag metal joints come in 3 finishes: BK is a chrome-free black powder coating, SV a silver white zinc finish containing chrome and NI a chrome-free nickel plating. The SV and NI versions are also suitable for ESD workstations.
Are metal joints suitable for ESD workstations?
Yes, Enprag metal joints in the NI (nickel) and SV (silver) finishes are suitable for ESD use; the MJ-21162 (0.11 kg), for example, is also made in ESD nickel. Enprag supplies finished ESD structures with a report from a certified measurement.
How are metal joints mounted on pipes?
Enprag metal joints are tightened with a screw using an Allen key; the position can also be locked with a rivet in the pilot dimple. Your maintenance team needs just 3 basic tools, and we provide the training free of charge.
Can the MT-5402 hinge join pipes at an angle?
Yes, the Enprag MT-5402 hinge joint connects 2 pipes at any angle and weighs 156 g. It is the right choice wherever pipes do not meet at a right angle.
