Workshop Balance in (Intra)Logistics

At the end of June, we participated in a workshop titled "Balance in (Intra)logistics", whose main motto was "If I don't measure it, I don't manage it." Topics focused on digitalization and automation were presented, such as automation through various systems, the use of RTLS (Real-time Locating System), or Low Code programming environments.

For customers, the workshop was interesting in terms of how to optimally digitalize logistics processes across the entire material flow. The audience also learned how to achieve sustainable changes by finding a balance between digitalization, semi-automation, and automation with the right technologies.

Our company presented innovations in modular systems, showcasing products from the aluminum ALU system, tubular modular system, as well as welded constructions.

Among the most interesting products are our shelving systems, which can be customized to suit the type of stored material and customer requirements, making efficient use of space. Specifically, we introduced the e-KANBAN shelf. e-KANBAN allows the automation of material ordering in real-time based on a set minimum quantity. The system minimizes human error and increases the flow efficiency of the entire material process. Unlike traditional methods, which rely on manual material order entries, such as scanning empty containers, e-KANBAN uses technologies like industrial cameras, sensors, or scales.

At the workshop, we also presented our assembly workstations from the tubular system. These tables are characterized by a design that allows easy and quick customization to meet customer requirements, whether it's size, load capacity, or an ESD variant. Thanks to this flexibility, the tables can be easily equipped with additional accessories such as workshop containers, perforated panels for storing plastic boxes or tools, and a lighting ramp.

These tables were equipped with the advanced pick2light system (light signaling) from Smart Production Solution. According to 78% of logistics managers worldwide, one of the biggest challenges is the waste of human resources in locating goods or materials. Time losses during picking are caused by poor visibility and low levels of digitalization. The dynamic production and logistics products from Smart Production Solution, combined with RTLS (Real-Time Location System) technology and the assembly workstation from the ENPRAG tubular modular system, maximized the speed and efficiency of Logic Flow development, which excels in precision and material flow efficiency. The result of the collaboration is innovative technology that eliminates long searches and accelerates picking and process management in real time.

We also introduced handling carts made from aluminum profiles, which perfectly complement our offering due to their lightness, strength, and durability. These carts are ideal for a wide range of applications, and their versatility allows for easy disassembly, adjustments, or expansion based on current needs. Additionally, the aluminum profiles resist corrosion and have a long lifespan, ensuring reliable use in various environments, whether indoors, outdoors, in industrial applications, production lines, logistics, or the automotive industry. To ensure smooth material flow, we offer the option to equip the carts with a towing bar and connect them into a "train" as part of the Milk-Run system. This system is ideal for the quick and efficient distribution of materials and components in various operational environments and can replace the use of not-so-safe forklifts for material transport.

This workshop not only allowed us to showcase the benefits of modern technologies but also provided participants with valuable information and practical demonstrations on how to effectively use innovative approaches to optimize intralogistics processes. In conclusion, we can state that the combination of traditional methods and modern technologies is key to achieving balance and improving logistics operations.
